Spend a Day at the International Alsace Wine Festival

Before you start planning your trip to Northern California, be sure to book your stay at the Inns of Glendeven. Our picturesque inn is an ideal homestead in Mendocino and will provide you with all of the relaxation and comfort you’ll need after a day out in wine country! Here are some things you’ll see at this year’s festival.

Alsace-Style Wines

Alsace wines are produced in the Alsace region in France and are primarily white wines. Anderson Valley is often referred to as the American Alsace because they produce grape varieties commonly associated with France’s region, especially Gewürztraminer, Riesling, and Pinot Gris. These grapes thrive in the cool climate of Anderson Valley, so it’s only natural that this area is home to the Alsace Festival!
